Tea cups and plates signed Rouard and Bernardaud
Tea cups and plates signed Rouard and Bernardaud
A pair of tea cups with their saucers, accompanied by two dessert plates: perfect for tea for two!
This "à la brindille"—or "sprig"—model takes up a motif from 18th century Chantilly porcelain, while employing a resolutely modern form, with a movement that unfolds from top to bottom. It is the result of a collaboration between two great houses, Maison Rouard, which designed them, and Maison Bernardaud, responsible for producing them.
These rare objects bear witness to the history of French decorative arts and ceramics, particularly from the early 20th century.
